Read MoreHEY, WATCH OUT!
These common gulls can be spotted flying all over the ocean and can be quite confusing to choose a perfect shot of a gull. Rather, its the lighting that makes it even more interesting. These two gulls flying over the ocean finally got in that perfect light condition. One gull is saying watch out for me too as it seems like it is going to cross paths with the other one.
THE GOLDEN STARE
Central Serengeti in Tanzania has a bio-diversity like no other place. As my guide in Central Serengeti drove me along Savannah grasslands, I started seeing different small mammals and birds of prey that uses acacia trees to their aide. This bee-hive textured predator was perching atop acacia tree .The stare from Brown Snake eagle made our eye to eye meeting all the more worthwhile.
MY WORLD - UPSIDE DOWN
Upside Down? You got it, right! Blue monkeys are known for their dexterity and can be found just outside the main entrance to Lake Manyara, Northern Tanzania. The moment I captured this candid image, I have constantly tried to make an eye contact and before I realised it, my face is almost tilting to its maximum extent of being upside down. Haha..There are very few moments in our lives when we try not to see things as they come. Explore this new perception and you would be quite amused.
BLESSINGS OF AN OLD MAN
Just outside Cusco's famous market I came across an old man sitting on even older steps of a building; his seemingly-ancient body looked completely washed out, just like the walls against which he leaned for support. Even though we did not understand each other's language, his fading gaze asked for food if not money. Cusco, a rapidly developing city opened its gates for tourists seeking the thrill of Machu Picchu and the Andes. Since then, the economy of the city has taken a turn upwards but the wealth clearly hasn't reached everyone. Finding this old man without shelter in blazing winds and a mind-numbing altitude of 11,152 feet made me feel ever-so-slightly sorry for him. The least I can say is he enjoyed the fruit jelly.
THE SENTINNEL
The lone Acacia tree stands guard to two contrasting elements of nature. The right side of Acacia shows emergence of downpour with a thudding roar, so loud that it silences a lion’s roar in the vicinity. On the left side of Acacia, soft light passes through cloud openings, resulting in strong crepuscular rays. This is an epic moment for me as I travelled from Central to Northern Serengeti for 4.5 hours on unpaved roads and witnessed these beautiful phenomena appearing at the same time.
